We work to secure the ownership of Indigenous territories, thereby improving legal and physical territorial security, as this is a necessary condition for organizing and formalizing local development initiatives. Many Indigenous peoples' territories require physical and legal sanctioning that will allow them to secure their right to territory and participate as a political actor in the management and conservation of these natural communal spaces.
